Bagatelle I

Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov wrote his Bagatelles as musical postscripts to the classical tradition. This piece exists in a fragile, suspended state—what the composer calls "meta-music"—sounding like a beautiful, fading echo of a 19th-century memory.
